We all know the value of a click but sometimes we tend to overlook certain things such as other webmaster viewing your pages or surfers that are "wanna be webmasters". This might be a small number of your visitors but just like a good exit link, one should try to maximize the potential of all traffic! With that said, this project will be all about creating a webmaster page's for your site's.

A large portion of this project will be done in the project thread which can be located here. Even though that is the case, there are still things that one should consider when creating a webmaster page. Let's review a few of what I feel are the important things to consider when making your webmaster page/s.

1. Single page or multiple pages
This is something that can go either way. Some people prefer to have everything they are offering on one page where others offer things split into a per section or category type layout.

2. Possible landing page for misguided surfers
Again, this is up to the individual but when linking off a free site for example with a link titled "webmaster", you might get a misguided or unintentional click into the page. Some folks will have this first landing page consist of basically text with links to specific sections or the actual webmaster page and then one large text link with a banner to a surfer site for these accidental visits.

3. New windows or not
When the webmaster gets to your actual links for let's say a sponsor, you need to consider if you want that link to open in a new window. The reason to possibly use a new window is this, so you can get the webmaster to sign up and be able to still be on your site in the original window so it is easier for them to find your other links. If you do not use new windows, I would suggest reminding the webmaster on your page someplace to bookmark it so it is easier for them to return back to your page. This way you can market your sponsors and services again and again to them. (Just like anything, one should keep the page/s fresh with new programs or whatever as you come across/try them.

4. A little content (links) or a lot
Just like when building a hub page for a surfer, one must decide on their content approach. By this I mean you have to decide just how many things you want to suggest to the visiting webmaster. You can use all of your sponsors with webmaster referral programs or only a few. The choice is yours but knowing how you want to go about it before starting does seem to make the process easier imho

5. Make copies of this page or link to the one from all sites.
This is something that might apply different to different type of situations. For example if you had a linklist and a lot of free sites, you might want one type of page/s for the linklist webmaster as compared to the one a "wanna be webmaster" would see. Again, planning this out to a degree before starting will make the actual building process easier and quicker to achieve. The type of site a webmaster page links off of makes a big difference!

6. "personal recommendations or not"
We all know everyone will have different results with different sponsors and/or services so again you must consider if you want to go with a personal recommendation type approach when building your page/s. Although it might make a certain sponsor sound better than others, if promoted to heavily this way, you might unintentionally steer the webmaster away from joining another sponsor that is on the same page.

So now is the time to start collecting those links such as for sponsors (CECash.com for example), hosting, scripts services and webmaster resources (like AdultNetSurprise.com).
