Altering Eye Color
by
BarryHilton, Adult NetSurprise
Welcome to our second
tutorial on Enhancing your photos... Today we'll be looking at how to alter eye
color and get some amazing results without your model wearing colored contact
lens'.
We'll start with the original photo...

Then using
the Lasso Marquee set at one pixel feather, carefully draw around the pupils.
Start with one, then while holding 'Shift' on the keyboard draw around the
other. This will add to your selection, so you can select both eyes at once,
see our example below.

Next, copy the pupils by presing Ctrl+C then
paste to a new layer using Ctrl+V. Now we are going to use Hue/Saturation to
alter the eyes color. To bring up the Hue/Saturation menu go to the Images Menu
at the top of the Screen, select Adjust, then Hue/Saturation. In our example
below we have altered the Hue and Saturation values of the eyes to make their
color green.

When
trying different values for the 'Hue', somtimes you will find that the eyes
become messy and display too many colors to look convincing. This is because
altering the Hue changes all the colors in the eye by the same amount on the
color spectrum displayed at the bottom.
To get around this problem, tick
the Colorize box, this will then make all the colors in the eye variations of
the same shade of color. In our example below we have used the colorize option
to make the eyes a turquiose color...

Have fun
by experimenting with different effects and create some amazing
eyes!
