What's A Host Or Hosting?
A host is the service or server where your site will be published. There are both free and paid hosting services. There are many hosting services with many types of different hosting packages to fill a wide rang of hosting needs. Some more expensive than others.

What's A Free Host?
A free host is a hosting service which allows you to host a website on there service in exchange for putting advertising on your site. Usually at the top and bottom portions of your pages. You can host your own domain (www.mydomain.com) on free hosting however. Your site will be a sub-directory or sub-site of there domain (www.freehosting.com/yoursite/) or other various form of such.

What's Bandwidth Or BW?
Bandwidth is the data transferred from your server to the end user. This is one of the biggest expenses you will encounter when paying for hosting services.

What's A Blind Link?
A blind link is a link to somewhere which doesn't clearly indicate where this link goes to, or doesn't accurately suggest what the link is about and such.

What's A Click-Thru-Program?
A click thru is a program provided by sponsors which will pay a cerain amount for every click that comes from your link to there site. Each program is different and will pay in different ways. You should be well familiar with all the rules and regulations of the program before starting one.

What's Are Raw Click Or Raw Hits?
A raw click or hit is a hit or click from a return visitor. If say the same visitors clicks a link 10 times it would register as 10 raw clicks or hits.

What's A Unique Hit Or Click?
A unique is a first time click or hit. If a new visitor say clicks a link 3 times, it would register as 1 unique and 3 raw hits.

What's A Console Or Pop-Up?
A console is a tool used by webmaster which will open a new browser window at any time which the webmaster selects. Console are triggered via javascripts which have been included into the head tags of web pages by the webmaster. Consoles (Pop-Ups) can be configured to the webmasters specific needs simply by changing variables within the java script.

What's Java Or Java Scripts?
These are written scripts which tell a browsers such as Internet Explorer or Netscape what to d at various times. These written scripts are usually inserted into the head tags of a webpage and instructs a browser to do different things such a pop-up a console, go to a different page, or any variety of other commands or functions selected by the webmaster.

What's A Template Or Cookie Cutter Site?
These are sites constructed from a pre-made type of site (template) design. The positive side to this is that it is quicker and easier making sites this way. You can basically just pop in new pics and banners. The negative side is many link list and such get tired of seeing the same type of designs and sometimes won't list these template sites.

What's Conversion Ratio's?
Conversion ratios are the amount of sales you get via whatever amount of hits you have sent to a sponsor or program. Say if you send 500 hits to a sponsor and get 1 sale then your conversion ratio would be 1 in 500 or 1:500.

What's A Counter?
A counter is a script usually provided by a number of counter service available which will count and and track visitors to you site. You can be provided with statistics such as (amount of visitors, where they came from, what time, and such as that).

What's A 404 Page Or 404 Error?
A 404 is a error which occurs when a link or a site is unavailable or cannot be found. This causes a 404 error message. When a site is properly constructed you can divert this error traffic to a premade 404 error page so as the surfer goes somewhere rather than no where.
