Newbie Project #1: Group Project

Welcome to the first official Newbie Board Project outline.

This project was based on three groups from the Newbie Board building three different type of site templates. These consisted of a general free site, a niche free site and an AVS site. The purpose of this project was to have different people working on the same site so that many different ideas and approaches could be addressed. Although there is no "perfect" layout on any site, we feel that the diversification in input on these sites have produced some general type lay outs that would perform well.

Each group was supplied a general overview of what type of site to build. Certain tools were made available to these groups such as ongoing threads for each group (links below) to assist in their daily communication as well as keeping reviews separated from all other posts on the Newbie Board.

Group Site Building Project

Greeting All!
The day has come. Through the past few days and weeks we have seen so many people work together to achieve a common goal. Thoughts and ideas have been shared, feedback has been given, and reviews have been done.

First and foremost I want to say that you ALL are winners. The project was for learning and gaining knowledge, most
of which you may not truly realize for some time to come, but you will. We all have been so proud to see our friends here do so much outstanding work and the end result being 3 outstanding sites.

Unfortunately some had to drop out and some chose not to participate, but that is expected with such a project.

I will say that EVERYONE is a winner for the participation, and finalizing of the sites. This has been a VERY tough call. Reviews were very tight, all sites were liked very much. We have been beating heads to come up with a final answer. Because everyone has one, yet there's only so many prizes to give.

I want to thank Makitso Web Entertainment and Web Legal for providing prizes for this project. Active Group Members will receive there choice of free downloads of California Glamour CD's 1-5. If you wish the CD itself will only be $10 for S/H. What a great deal, these are $134 CD's, so cool of them. Check them out here

With all that said I take great pleasure in announcing the final results.
What a hard decision that all of us involved had to go through because everything was so tight.

Summary

Overall this was a very successful project although we did have a few organizational issues relating to this being our first project. In the future, we will be doing more versions of projects like these to further the possibilities of site examples that can be offered. Future projects should run a bit smoother and more efficiently as we also learned things from this project :) A Big Thanks To GreenGuy of Link-O-Rama and Kath of Adult Buzz for their input and assistance in judging all these fine sites.
